Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, heavy rainfall may lash Odisha another low pressure has been formed over Andaman sea.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), under influence of cyclonic circulation over north Andaman sea and adjoining Myanmar coast, a low pressure are has been formed over north Andaman sea.
"It is very likely to move west-northwestwards, concentrate into a depression over eastcentral Bay of Bengal during subsequent 2-3 days," said HR Biswas, Director of Bhubaneswar MeT.
However, the effect on Odisha due to low pressure and possible depression is still unclear, he said.
The IMD predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during next 2 days and isolated heavy to very heavy falls for subsequent 3 days.
