Bhubaneswar: A low pressure is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 14. It is likely to intensify further into depression. The IMD predicted that several districts of Odisha may receive a quantum amount of rainfall next week.

According to IMD, a low low-pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal around 14th November. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Central & adjoining South Bay of Bengal around 16th November 2023.

Under its influence, many districts in the southern region of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall from November 15.

As per the Bhubaneswar MeT forecast, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha between Nov 15 and 16.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri during Nov 16 and 17.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Khordha, Puri, and at one or two places over the rest districts of South Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi and Sundargarh between Nov 17 and 18.
