Low Pressure over Bay in next 12 hours: These Odisha dists likely to receive rainfall

Bhubaneswar: A Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal in the next 12 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, this morning.

“The cyclonic circulation over Southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood now lies over Southeast adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move westwards. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over central parts of South Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours,” a bulletin of the IMD issued at 8 AM said.

Though no warning has been issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre here, several districts of Odisha may receive light rainfall from October 28.

Forecast:

Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam ,Puri, Rayagada, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.10.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.10.2021).

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.10.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.10.2021).

Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.10.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 31.10.2021).
