Low pressure over Bay of Bengal will have no impact on Odisha!

Bhubaneswar: Putting speculation to rest, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued no weather warning for Odisha for next five days following a low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal today.

As per the prediction, the low pressure if intensifies further may not put any impact on Odisha.

According to Bhubaneswar MeT, a low pressure has formed over south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal in the morning on May 1, 2020. However, its intensification is expected to be slow and delayed.

Accordingly, it is likely to become more marked over the same region during next 48 hours, concentrate into a depression over Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal during subsequent 48 hours and intensify further thereafter. It is very likely to move north-northwestwards gradually till May 5.

However, Odisha may not experience downpour under influence of the system over Bay of Bengal.
