Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area over Odisha is likely to cause rainfall in several districts of the state till July 13, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Odisha & neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting south westwards with height, the Meteorological Centre said in a release.
Heavy rainfall warning for next five days as follows:
* Day-1 (Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 10.07.22): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Bargarh (Orange Warning).
Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bolangir, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh and Kalahandi (Yellow Warning).
* Day-2 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 10.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 11.07.22): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir and Bargarh (Yellow Warning).
* Day-3 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 11.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 12.07.22): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nuapada, Bargarh and Rayagada (Yellow Warning).
* Day-4 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 12.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 13.07.22): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur (Yellow Warning).
* Day-5 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 13.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 14.07.22): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur (Yellow Warning).
