Bhubaneswar, Jul 8:
A trough line formed from north-west Rajasthan to east-central Bay of Bengal via Jharkhand and West Bengal has triggered rainfall in coastal and south Odisha. The showers will continue for 4-5 days, the Meteorological Department predicted.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a rainfall of 39.8 mm and 25.4 mm respectively.
Rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places and heavy rainfall may take place at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha in the next 24 hours, the local Meteorological centre predicted.
There will be decrease in rainfall from July 13, it forecasted.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea.
