Low pressure: Very heavy rainfall to lash these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall may lash northern parts of Odisha under influence of the low pressure, which is likely to form over north Odisha and neighbourhood around July 4.

According to Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, very heavy rainfall of 11-20 cm is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar on July 4.

Similarly, heavy rainfall of 7-11 cm is on the cards for one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Khordha during the period.

Besides, the Bhubaneswar MeT has issued heavy rainfall and thunderstorm warning for several districts till July 6.

As per the weather bulletin released yesterday, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak today.

Meanwhile, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts today.

According to the MeT, the heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Nuapada between July 3 and 4.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal ,Keonjhar, and heavy rainfall at Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Khordha during July 4 to 5.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Nuapada from July 5 to 6 morning.
