New Delhi: Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar resigned from the government on Wednesday following allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by several women journalists.

The resignation came a day before a Delhi court is to take up the defamation case filed by Akbar against one of the journalists.  (IANS)
