Several BJD leaders and workers including ministers Sanjay Das Burma, Debi Prasad Mishra, and Ashok Panda participated in the dharna.

“This dharna will continue till Chhattisgarh government stops construction of projects on Mahanadi’s upper catchment. We will create public opinion on Odisha’s rights,” stated Das Burma at the dharna.

“Chhattisgarh’s action is an attack on Odisha’s rights. This dharna will continue for 100 days,” said Panda.
