Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of the Odisha Government has announced the merger of 2nd campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University with Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar.

The department on Thursday issued a notification in this regard.

As per the notification, all the sanctioned posts of 2nd campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University shall be transferred to Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar.

All the students enrolled at 2nd campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University will continue to be under jurisdiction of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University till completion of their course. The teaching faculties of 2nd campus of MSCB University who opted for Dharanidhar University shall be absorbed against the vacancy in the Dharanidhar University as the posts of 2nd campus is also absorbed in the Dharanidhar University.

New admissions will be under Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar from the date of incorporation of Dharanidhar University or any other date as decided by Dharanidhar University.

The Government land allotted in favour of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (2nd campus) shall be alienated in favour of Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar, as its ownership is vested with DD University.

No fresh admission of students shall be made in the 2nd campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University with effect from 2023-24. Fresh admission in this premise will be done under DD University only.

The Registrar of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University shall hand over all official files/ records/ documents of 2nd campus to the Registrar of Dharanidhar University who shall keep them under safe custody of Dharanidhar University for future reference.
