The Commissionerate Police today arrested the prime accused Batu Sunderay (25) who, along with five other associates, had allegedly killed a 25-year-old youth at Gothapatna Chhak under Chandaka police limits on the outskirts of the Odisha capital on Tuesday following an argument over parking of a motorcycle.

Batu, who hails from Gothapatna, has been forwarded to a local court here today.
“We have arrested Batu from Khandagiri area today. He had been changing his place of hiding frequently while the investigative team was on his trail. Investigation is on to nab the other four accused persons involved in the murder case,” informed a senior police official of Chandaka police station.
Out of six persons named in the FIR, police have so far arrested two persons, the other person being Dipu alias Sanjay Kumar Sunderay, a close aide of Batu.
The incident came to light after Ashok Nayak, brother-in-law of the deceased lodged a complaint at the local police station yesterday.
Acting on the complaint, police had registered a case number (89/2015) slapping charges under sections 302 and 34 of IPC against the accused.
Notably, Prasanta Parida, a resident of Madhupur village, was killed by six persons following a quarrel between them over parking of a motorcycle at Gothapatna Chhak on August 11.
