Major bureaucratic reshuffle: Gagan Dhal appointed OFDC Chief

Bhubaneswar: Effecting a major reshuffle at bureaucratic level, the Odisha Government today appointed IAS officer Gagan Kumar Dhal, who had resigned yesterday as Agriculture Production Commissioner, as the Chairman of Odisha Forest Development Corporation Ltd.

The chairman’s has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Chief Secretary.

Besides, Forest and Environment Additional Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has been appointed as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary to Government, Planning and Convergence Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Working Chairperson of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri.

This apart, Sudershan Pal Thakur, Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chief Administrator, KBK, Koraput in addition to his ow duties.

Pradipta Mohapatra , Additional Chief Secretary, School and Mass Education Department has been appointed as Agriculture Production Commissioner, Odisha. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, School and Mass Education Department.

Dr Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary of Rural Development Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary of Forest and Environment Department.

Sanjiv Chopra, Principal Secretary of Industries Department with additional charge of OMC Chairman is allowed to remain additional charge of Principal Secretary of Home Department.

Manoj Kumar Mishra, CRC and Special Secretary of Commerce and Transport Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Secretary In-Charge , Electronics and Information Technology Department.

Rudra Narayan Palei, Special Secretary of Electronic and Information Technology Department has been appointed as Special Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
