Major fire outbreak in Odisha village

Dhenkanal, May 8:

At least 30-40 houses were gutted in a major fire outbreak at Surapratappur village under Bhuban block in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district this afternoon.

According to reports, fire broke out at Surapratappur village at around 2 PM. Fire tenders have rushed to the village and efforts are on to douse the blaze.

Local Revenue Inspector (RI), Block Development Officer (BDO) and Tehsildar have arrived in the village to ascertain the damage caused by the fire and provide relief to the affected.

Electric short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
