Bhubaneswar: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Odisha, the State Government appointed Puri Collector Samarth Verma as the Additional Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

As per the notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department today, IAS Officer Ranjan Kumar Das, who is currently serving as the Chief Administrator of SJTA, Puri, was transferred and appointed as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division), Cuttack. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of RDC (Southern Division), Berhampur.

The Government replaced Southern Division RDC Temjenwapang Ao and appointed him as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Public Enterprises Department.

The 2011-batch IAS Officer Samarth Verma, presently the Collector of Puri district, was appointed as the Additional Chief Administrator of SJTA. The post was declared equivalent to the post of Additional Secretary to Government in the IAS cadre of Odisha.

IAS Officer Srikanta Prusty, Special Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, was appointed as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division), Sambalpur.

Moreover, several district collectors were transferred ahead of the forthcoming 2024 elections.

The Government appointed Balangir Collector Chanchal Rana as the Khurda Collector replacing K Sudarshan Chakravarthy. The 2011-batch IAS Officer K Sudarshan was appointed as the Director at Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar.

As per the notification, State Election Commission Secretary Bijay Kumar Dash was appointed as the Collector of Puri district. Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare was appointed as Collector & District Magistrate of Mayurbhanj. IAS Officer Vineet Bharadwaj, presently the Mayurbhanj Collector was appointed as the Collector and District Magistrate of Cuttack.

Similarly, 2012-batch IAS Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, who is serving as the Commissioner, Cuttack Municipal Corporation, Cuttack, has been appointed as Director, Rural Development. Angul Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain was appointed as the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal
Corporation.

Monisha Banerjee, Collector & District Magistrate, Bargarh was appointed as Director, Social Welfare. Swadha Dev Singh, the Rayagada Collector, was appointed as the Nayagarh Collector.

Chakravarthi Singh Rathore, the Jajpur Collector, was appointed as Joint Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj Drinking Water Department.

Md. Abdaal Akhtar, Koraput Collector, was appointed as Angul Collector.

Similarly, 2015-batch IAS Officer Lingraj Panda, currently the Director of Social Welfare, was appointed as Joint Secretary of Cooperation Department.

Kendrapara Collector Amrit Ruturai was appointed as Labour Commissioner, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das was appointed as the Joint Secretary to Government, Handloom Textiles & Handicrafts Department.

Malkangiri Collector Vishal Singh was appointed as the Keonjhar Collector.

Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra, currently the Commissioner of Rourkela Municipal Corporation with additional charge of CEO at Rourkela Smart City Limited, Rourkela ADM and Rourkela Development Authority Secretary, was appointed as the Jajpur Collector.

IAS Officer Keerthi Vasan, CDO-cum-E0, Zilla Parishad, Ganjam, was appointed as the Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput.

Suryawanshi Mayur Vikas, at present the Additional Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), was appointed as the Kendrapara Collector.

J. Sonal, Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation, was appointed as the Collector of Boudh district.

Agrawal Akshay Sunil, the ADM of Mayurbhanj, was appointed as Sambalpur Collector.

Aditya Goyal, the CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Bargarh, was appointed, as Collector and District Magistrate of Bargarh.

Anya Das, the CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Nabarangpur, was appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Sonepur.

Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, the CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Sundargarh, was appointed as the Rayagada Collector.

Pawar Sachin Prakash, the CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, was appointed as Collector & District Magistrate of Malkangiri.

Gaurav Shivaji Isalwar, the CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Koraput, was appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Bolangir.

Kulakarni Ashutosh, the Sub-Collector, Berhampur with additional charge of Administrator, Jama Masjid, Berhampur, was appointed as Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of CEO, Rourkela Smart City Limited, ADM, Rourkela and Secretary, Rourkela Development Authority.

Madhumita, the Sub-Collector, Baliguda with additional charge of Executive officer, NAC, Baliguda, was appointed as Commissioner, Berhampur Municipal Corporation.

Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak, the Sub-Collector, Kuchinda with additional charge of Executive Officer, NAC, Kuchinda, was appointed as the Additional District Magistrate of Mayurbhanj.

Furthermore, IAS Officer Dheenah Dastagar, was appointed as the Sub-Collector of Berhampur in Ganjam district.

The Government appointed 2021-batch IAS Officer Rina Pradhan as the Sub-Collector of Baliguda in Kandhamal district, Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke as the Sub-Collector of Balasore, Kirandeep Kaur Sahota as the Sub-Collector of Gunupur in Rayagada district, Rehan Khatri as the Sub-Collector of Titilagarh in Balangir district, Dhiman Chakma as the Sub-Collector of Dharmagarh in Kalahandi district.

Moreover, three OAS Officers were transferred as appointed in the major bureaucratic reshuffle.

While Bimalendu Ray, currently the Sonepur Collector, was transferred and posted as the EPM Director, Nrusingha Charan Swain, at present the Boudh Collector, was posted as the Special Secretary to the Government at Revenue & Disaster Management Department. OAS Officer Narahari Sethy, the Cuttack Collector, was transferred and posted as the Additional Secretary to Government at Water Resources Department.
