Major OAS reshuffle in Odisha; Rama Chandra Palata new OPSC Secretary

Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle in Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) cadre, Odisha Government today transferred 12 officers to various key positions including OPSC secretary.

As per the notification issued by Odisha General Administration & Public Grievance Department dated July 24, Excise Additional Commissioner Rama Chandra Palata has been transferred and posted as Secretary of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

Pramod Kumar Mishra, who is serving as the OPSC Secretary, is transferred and posted as Special Secretary of Higher Education Department.

OAS Officer Debabrata Sahoo, presently Bhubaneswar Sub-Collector, has been transferred and posted as the Additional District Magistrate, Ganjam.

Talcher Sub-Collector Biswaranjan Rath, who is the General Manager of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL), has been posted as the Joint Commissioner of BDA on foreign service terms and conditions. Hence, his posting as the GM of BSCL stands cancelled.

Ganjam Additional District Magistrate Priyaranjan Prusty has been transferred and posted as Managing Director of Aska Co-operative Sugar Industries Ltd on foreign service terms and conditions.

OAS Officer Suvendra Kumar Samal, who is the Joint Secretary of ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department and deputed to Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes, Bhubaneswar, has been posted as Additional District Magistrate, Jajpur, replacing Dibyalochan Mohanta, who is now transferred and posted as the Joint Commissioner in Excise Department in Cuttack.

OAS Officer Madhusudan Behera, the PA of ITDA, Baliguda in Kandhamal district has been transferred and posted as Bhubaneswar Sub-Collector.

Suryasmita Sahoo, the Under Secretary of OSSC, Bhubaneswar, is transferred and posted as Administrative Officer of Odisha Construction Corporation Ltd (OCCL), Bhubaneswar on foreign service terms and conditions.

Athamallik Sub-Collector Tarani Suna is transferred and posted as Additional Executive Officer of Balangir Zilla Parishad.

OAS Officer Manoj Kumar Tripathy, the Tahasildar of Jagannathprasad, is transferred and posted as Talcher Sub-Collector in Angul district.

Dharmasala Tahasildar Swagat Das, who is the Deputy Director of Directorate of Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar, is now posted as Deputy Commissioner of BMC, Bhubaneswar on foreign service terms and conditions.
