Man axes father to death in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A man allegedly hacked his father to death with an axe at Tasupada village under Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district late last night.

According to reports, accused Rajat Ekka (27) attacked his father Rimish Ekka (60) with an axe when the latter was sleeping. The victim sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated investigation. Rajat has been detained by cops at the police station for questioning.

The incident was a fallout of family dispute, reports said.
