Man beaten to death by son in Odisha, accused held

Keonjhar: In a horrific incident, a youth allegedly beat his father to death following a heated argument in Keonjhar district today. The accused, Sunil Naik from Kunduri Sahi of Podasimila village in Keonjhar district got married four days back.

After completing marriage related rituals along with his wife in village temple, Sunil returned home this morning. Over some issues related to his marriage, Sunil got into an argument with his father Kusha Naik, said family members.

In a fit of rage, Sunil attacked his father with a hoe killing him on the spot, added the family members.

After being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation. Later the accused was arrested and forwarded to the court.

When the bail plea of the accused was rejected by the court, police took him to the judicial custody.
