Man beheads wife with axe in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: A man allegedly killed his wife by beheading her at Sara village under Kashinagar police limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district, today.

According to reports, accused Chandrasekhar Karji and his wife Urmila had gone to a farmland, where a heated exchange of words erupted between the two over land dispute.

The matter turned violent as he lost his cool and beheaded the woman with an axe at the spot.

On being informed, police reached the village, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation. The accused has been arrested.

While Urmila was the second wife of Chandrasekhar, his first wife had reportedly left him as he attacked her murderously.
