Man commits suicide over COVID-19 suspicion in Odisha

Rourkela: In an unfortunate incident, a man allegedly committed suicide after suspecting himself of being affected by novel coronavirus at Matalgada under Gurundia panchayat of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

According to reports, the youth had returned from Maharashtra around 45 days ago. He had flu-like symptoms for which he was put under quarantine.

However, his body was found hanging from a tree near the quarantine facility in the locality today. On being informed, police reached the village, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated investigation.
