Rourkela: A man allegedly crushed his aunt to death with a stone over a family feud at Asurkhole village under Gurundia police limits in Odisha's Sundargarh district.

The deceased woman has been identified as Padma Mirdha.

According to reports, Padma had been to a nearby waterbody to take bath this morning. Rajesh Mirdha, who had grudges against his aunt in the past, assaulted her with a stick following which she fell on the ground. Later, he crushed her to death with a stone.

The Gurundia police arrested the accused person for the murder.

The preliminary investigation suggested that Rajesh was involved in different crimes earlier and his wife had deserted him, police informed.
