Man, daughter-in-law electrocuted to death in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A man and his daughter-in-law were electrocuted to death at Nadigaon village under Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district today.

The deceased have been identified as Ramanath Das and Pushpalata Das.

According to reports, Ramanath received electric shock while repair work related to electrical equipment was underway at his house this morning. His daughter-in-law also met the same fate while trying to rescue him.

The two died on the spot due to electrocution. A pall of gloom descended on the village after the tragic incident.

Police have recovered the bodies and sent those to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem. An unnatural death has been registered in this connection.
