Jharsuguda: A 24-year-old man reportedly ended his life by hanging himself during a Facebook Live video in Odisha's Jharsuguda district.

The deceased was identified as Atal Singh (24) of Station Pada under Badamal police limits in the district. He was working as a driver with a private company.

According to reports, Singh created a WhatsApp group on Friday night and shared the Facebook Live video link in it, telling the group members to watch the streaming.

Later, he hanged himself to a ceiling fan in his room and died.

Police recovered the body for post-mortem and handed it over to his family members after autopsy.

The reason behind the extreme step by Singh was yet to be ascertained.
