Man found dead near railway track in Odisha, kin allege murder

Balangir: A man was found dead near railway track at Karla in Kantabanji area of Odisha’s Balangir district today while his family members alleged that he was murdered.

The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Poda of Belapada village. He was working as a driver with a transport company.

According to reports, Mahendra was returning to Kantabanji from Raipur in a pickup van carrying some articles. However, his body was spotted near Karla level crossing while the vehicle was parked near it.

Owner of the vehicle identified the body and informed the deceased’s kin.

Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
