Man found dead on roadside in Odisha’s Ganjam; murder by brother alleged

Berhampur: A man was found dead on roadside at Pratappur under Badagada police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district, today.

The deceased was identified as Nilu Bisoyi (30) of Jagannathpur Sasan.

Though the reason of the death was yet to be ascertained, Nilu’s family members alleged that he was thrashed to death by his elder brother over land dispute between the two.

Nilu was reportedly picked up from his house by his brother and father-in-law, last night. The deceased’s wife claimed that the two murdered him and later dumped the body on roadside.

Quarrels had been ensuing between the two brothers frequently over the land dispute, family sources said.
