Bolangir, July 24:

In a blood-curdling incident, a man allegedly hacked his father and brother to death following an altercation between them over a property dispute in Odisha’s Bolangir district this morning.

According to reports, the accused Santosh Dalai had a heated argument with his younger brother Somnath this morning at Dhulusar village near Chudapali under Sadar Police Station limits here which turned ugly. When his father intervened into the matter, he attacked the duo with a sharp weapon killing them on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Gopi Dalai (68) and his son Somnath (26). The bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem.

Police have nabbed the accused Santosh Dalai and are interrogating him, sources said.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the double murder is a fall out of property dispute between them.

The Sadar Police personnel and SDPO reached the spot for further investigation, sources added.
