Man hacks father to death in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A family feud turned fatal as a man allegedly hacked his father to death at Rangajam village under Rasgovindpur police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, today.

According to reports, a verbal duel erupted between Rabana Soren and his son Ramesh Soren this morning over an issue. The incident took a violent turn as Ramesh lost his cool and attacked his father with an axe killing him on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated investigation. The accused has been detained by cops for questioning. The weapon of offence has been seized by police.
