Man hacks sister-in-law to death in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A man allegedly murdered his sister-in-law with an axe at Kisanpada under Kuchinda police limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today.

A heated exchange of words erupted between Rama Kisan and his sister-in-law Sukadei Kisan (60) over a family dispute. The incident turned ugly as Rama lost his cool and hacked Sukadei with an axe leading to her death on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the village, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The accused was detained by cops for questioning.
