Bangiriposhi: A man allegedly killed his sister-in-law (brother's wife) suspecting her to be a 'witch' in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district.

The incident occurred at Pokharia village under Jharpokharia police limits last night.

According to reports, Mangal Murmu hacked his sister-in-law Minati Murmu suspecting her to be a witch. She died on the way to a hospital in an ambulance in the wee hours of today.

"Mangal Murmu claimed that my wife was a witch. We had a heated argument over the allegation four to five days back. Since then, we were not talking to each other. I and my son were not at home when Mangal killed my wife," alleged the deceased woman's husband.
