Man hacks wife to death in Odisha's Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A man allegedly hacked his wife to death at Kothar village under Dhusuri police limits in Odisha's Bhadrak district late last night.

According to reports, Sanjay Mahalik of the village, who works at a textile mill in Punjab, had returned home two days ago. Last night, a verbal duel ensued between him and his wife Rashmita.

The incident took an ugly turn as Sanjay lost his cool and hacked Rashmita with an axe killing her on the spot.

"We reached the village on being informed about the murder. The body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem. The accused was arrested and further investigation is underway," a police official said.
