Rourkela: A heated argument between a couple over a trivial issue led to a tragic end as the woman killed her three-year-old daughter before ending her life while her husband hanged himself to death.

Such a shocking incident has been reported from Koida area of Sundargarh district.

As per sources, a couple of Jagatsignhpur district along with their minor daughter was staying in a rented house at Masjid Gali in Koida for the last three years. On Tuesday night, an altercation erupted between Prahllad  and his wife Ranjita over some issue.  Following this, the landlord lodged a police complaint against Prahllad. Later, Prahllad went out of the house on Wednesday morning and did not return after that.

This morning, when Ranjita did not open the door of the house till late, some neighbours called up the police. Later, a police team and the local Tehsildar reached the spot and found both the mother and the daughter dead. Circumstantial evidence suggests that Ranjita killed her daughter before hanging herself to death.

On the other hand, Prahllad was found hanging in a forest near Badbil police station in Keonjhar district.  He had sent a selfie with a rope around his neck to his relatives before taking the extreme step.

Meanwhie, a suicide note has also been recovered from the house. The letter holds the house owner responsible for the three deaths. However, Koida and Badbil police recovered all the bodies and began an investigation into the incident.
