Man held for removing snake’s teeth with nail cutter in Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: The Puintala police have arrested a man for allegedly removing the teeth of a snake at Bileisadra village in Odisha’s Balangir district.

The accused has been identified as Veera Biswal, a snake charmer.

According to reports, Biswal had rescued a cobra and later removed the teeth of the reptile with a nail cutter.

A video of the incident had gone viral on social media, following which members of Balangir Snake Helpline demanded action against him.

It is being alleged that Biswal used to rescue snakes and perform stunt with the animals before torturing and abandoning the reptiles instead of releasing them into forest.
