Bhubaneswar: A man was critically injured in a firing by his neighbour and ex-serviceman in Bhubaneswar today evening. The injured, Kunja Bihari has been admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition.

Though the exact reason behind the firing is not known so far, Kunja, a resident of Bharatpur area under Khandagiri police limits sustained grievous injuries after his neighbour and a retired Army officer, Ashwini Rout fired a shot at him.

After receiving information, the Khandagiri Police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

Also, the retired Army officer has been detained by the police.
