Man jumps into river from bridge in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: A man went missing after reportedly jumping into Daya river from a bridge near Nuagaon on the outskirts of Odisha capital today.

According to reports, an auto-rickshaw driver saw the person parking a scooter on the bridge and jumping into the water body.

On being informed, Fire personnel rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. Till last reports came in, the missing person was yet to be traced.

Police have seized the two-wheeler while a Learner’s License in the name of one Madhusudan Khuntia of Kapileswar area in the city was found from it.

The reason behind the extreme step by the man was yet to be ascertained.
