A person was killed this morning after a speeding tractor ran over him in Ganjam district of Odisha.

The deceased has been identified as Ujwala Sahoo (38).
According to reports, when Ujwala was standing near a road turning at Niladrichandrapur village under Patrapur block in the district, a speeding tractor ran over him as the driver lost control over the wheels.
He was rescued and admitted to Patrapur Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition.
He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the health centre, informed the hospital source.
Driver of the tractor has gone absconding after the accident.
