Man killed by neighbour in Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A man was allegedly murdered by his neighbour over a property dispute at Mali Sahi village under Itamati police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to reports, the dispute erupted between Khetrabasi Mohapatra and his neighbour Jagabandhu Mohapatra yesterday evening. Khetrabasi had filed a complaint in this regard with Itamati police, following which the issue was resolved in the presence of cops and some locals.

However, the dispute resurfaced between the two and Jagabandhu hacked Khetrabasi to death after chasing the latter on village road around 3 am.

Police have started investigation into the incident and detained the accused for questioning.
