Man killed during birthday celebration in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A man was allegedly murdered during a birthday celebration at Kadamtoli under Hatibari police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, last night. The deceased has been identified as Jual Surin (27).

According to reports, Jual had attended the birthday party of his neighbour when a heated exchange of words erupted between the two over an issue. Jual’s neighbour lost his cool and thrashed him with an iron rod injuring him critically.

Locals rescued the victim and rushed him to the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH), where doctor declared him dead.

Police have detained the accused for questioning and started an investigation into the incident.
