Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident that unfolded in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, a 50-year-old man named Bagar Sai met an untimely demise while attempting to offer a goat as a sacrifice at a local temple. The unfortunate incident occurred after Bagar Sai's desires had supposedly been fulfilled, reports said.

Bagar Sai, accompanied by fellow residents from Madanpur village, made their way to Khopa Dham on Sunday to carry out the sacrificial ritual. Upon reaching their destination, the villagers proceeded with the sacrifice of the goat.

Following the completion of the sacred rituals, the community members gathered to prepare and consume the goat's meat. Filled with enthusiasm, Bagar Sai made an ill-fated decision that would lead to his demise.

Unaware of the consequences, Bagar Sai picked up one of the goat's eyes from the cooked meat and attempted to consume it. However, his actions took a sinister turn as the goat's eye became lodged in his throat, causing him to choke.

Struggling for breath, Bagar Sai was immediately rushed to the district hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, he tragically succumbed to the obstruction in his airway.
