Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his son following a family dispute at Balabhadrapur village under Bamebari police limits in Odisha's Keonjhar district, today.

According to reports, accused Narana Mahanta and his son Pitambara Mahanta had a heated exchange of words over a matter pertaining to money sharing.

The incident took an ugly turn as Narana lost his cool and crushed Pitambara's head with a stone, resulting in the latter's death.

On being informed, police reached the village and arrested the accused. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
