Man, nephew die as truck hits motorcycle in Odisha
Dhenkanal: In an unfortunate incident, a man and his nephew were killed after a bus collided with the motorcycle they were travelling on at Lambodarpur Chhak under Sadar police limits in Dhenkanal district today.
The two deceased have been identified as Pratap Sarangi and his nephew Pritam Sarangi, both are residents of Rameswarpur in Salipur.
The two, who were working in a private company in Bhubaneswar, had gone to Dhenkanal to attend the 11th day ritual. They were returning to the state capital at around 2 pm today, when a bus coming from opposite direction collided with their motorcycle at Lambodarpur Chhak in Dhenakanl.
Though locals along with police rushed the duo to Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital (DHH), the two succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Meanwhile, police seized the bus and began an investigation into the incident after registering a case in this connection.
