Man rescued after being tied to electric pole for 4 days in Odisha

Sonepur, Nov 28:

In a barbaric incident,  an unidentified man had been left  for 3-4 days with his hands bound from behind to an electric tower near Mahanadi in Sonepur, Odisha.

The person was tied to an electric pole inside Mahanadi River and was allegedly lying here unnoticed for more than 3-4 days.

The fishermen noticed the man lying tied up in a bad condition and informed the police, last night.

He was rescued in a serious condition and admitted to the Sonepur hospital where he is being given primary healthcare.

The unidentified man is  unable to speak; therefore, the police are finding it difficult to accertain his credentials.

“Fire brigade and police joint operation rescued the man from Mahanadi. He has been admitted to the hospital, he is in a poor state of health and unable speak. After he recovers we will be able to know more details of the incident. We are also continuing our investigation,” said  Biramaharajpur sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) , Bhabani Shankar Udgata.
