Sinapali: A man and his son were killed and his daughter sustained grievous injuries as a motorcycle on which they were travelling had a head-on collision with a speeding car near Kapasi on Sinapali-Khariar road under Sinapali police limits in Nuapada district, today evening.

The deceased man was identified as Atmaram Tandi (60), his son as Lingaraj Tandi (25), and his daughter as Belamati Tandi (30). The three family members belong to Chacharabhata village.

The trio was on their way back home from Baragaon when the fatal mishap occurred. The car coming from the front hit them and they fell down. The father-son duo died on the spot.

Some locals rescued the injured and admitted her to a health facility in Sinapali for treatment in critical condition. However, she was later shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Nuapada town after her condition deteriorated.

On being informed, Sinapali police reached the spot and seized the vehicles. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a detailed probe.
