Man stabs wife over extramarital affair suspicion in Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada: A man allegedly stabbed his wife over extramarital affair suspicion in Nadi Sahi area of Odisha’s Rayagada district, today.

The victim, identified as Basanti Behera, was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition.

On the other hand, the accused, identified as Pradip Behera, absconded after committing the crime.

As per reports, a dispute was prevailing between them as he was suspecting her of having an extramarital affair. A quarrel ensued over the matter in the morning, which took a violent turn as Pradip lost his cool and stabbed his wife with a knife.

Police have started an investigation into the incident while efforts were on by cops to trace and apprehend the accused.
