Man stealing two-wheelers from parking lot in Odisha Capital held

Chandrasekharpur: A man was arrested today on charges of stealing eight mopeds parked at a vehicle stand in Janta Maidan in Bhubaneswar today.

The arrested person, Kailash Chandra Mishra (54) is a resident of Natabarpur village under Khandapada police station limits. He has been staying along with his family in Panda Park slum.

On basis of a complaint lodged by one Kailash Das from Patia area two days back at Chandrasekharpur police station, police had initiated a probe. During the investigation, police came to know that two–wheelers owned by some other motorists were also stolen from the parking stand.

The cops laid a trap and deployed police personnel in plain clothes at the parking lot. When Kailash Mishra was trying to break the lock of a two-wheeler last evening, the cops in civil dress nabbed him.

After making a seizure of stolen mopeds at his house, police forwarded the accused to court.
