Man stoned to death during wedding party in Odisha

Puri: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly  stoned to death during a wedding reception at Rengala village under Delang police limits in Puri district late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Kashinath Mohapatra of the same locality.

Sources said Kashinath had gone to attend a wedding reception at Rengala village last night. However, an altercation ensued between two groups of people, who were reportedly drunk. The scuffle later took a violent turn and Kashinath was stoned to death.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident. The cops have also detained three persons in connection with the incident.
