Puri: In an incident that has posed serious questions over the security measures at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri, a man took a video inside the premises of the temple with a mobile phone and posted it on his Instagram account.
The person, identified as Rohit Jaiswal, had recorded the video while visiting the shrine during the Ratha Jatra festival of the deities.
However, it was unclear as to how he managed to carry the device with him inside the temple premises as mobile phones are prohibited there.
The concerned authorities of the temple administration were yet to comment on the matter.
Similar incidents had also surfaced in the past, wherein photos and videos were taken inside the premises and posted on social media platforms.
A person namely Akash Choudhury, who is an ISKCON devotee and YouTuber, had posted a video of the temple's sanctum sanctorum in November, last year. The video was seemingly recorded from the Jaya-Bijaya Dwara of the temple as it captured the idols of the deities on the Ratna Singhasana.
Similarly, in June of 2022, one Sanjaya Padhi of Bhadrak had clicked selfies inside the temple premises and posted the photos on his Facebook account.
