Hyderabad/Bhubaneswar: A retired Headmaster of Andhra Pradesh who claimed of recovering from deadly Covid-19 disease minutes after taking an Ayurvedic medicine died today.

The retired Headmaster, N Kotaiah took a ‘herbal eye drop’ prepared by one Bonigi Anandaiah of Krishnapatnam in Nellore district after being tested positive for coronavirus. A video of Kotaiah claiming his recovery from the disease went viral on social media later.

But Kotaiah was admitted to the Government General Hospital, Nellore on Friday night after his oxygen levels came down. He died today at the hospital during treatment.

In the meantime, sources at the State Health department reportedly said three members of Anandaiah’s team have tested Covid positive.
