Maoists burn four vehicles at Odisha construction site

Maoists wreaked havoc late last night burning down four vehicles at the camp of a private construction company at Timaligaon under Nuapada district of Odisha.

The Maoists set fire to a JCB, two Haiwas and a tractor at the camp of the contractor entrusted with the Lower Indra Irrigation Project. Banners and posters of Nuapada division of Maoist Organisation have been found from the scene.

“They have burnt down four vehicles, including one JCB, two Haiwas and one tractor. There were three men in the group,” confirmed Duryodhan Bag, an eyewitness.

“It surely is going to affect the work. Labourers will be afraid of working here,” opined Niranjan Mishra, Senior manager of OCC.
