Maoists kill man by slitting throat in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A group of Maoists allegedly killed a man by slitting his throat and thrashed two others at Khajuriguda village under Jodamba police limits in Odisha’s Malkangiri district last night.

According to reports, over 30 Maoists, including women, picked up three villagers around 9.30 PM. The extremists murdered one of the villagers by slitting throat and brutally beat two others leaving the duo injured.

The deceased has been identified as Das Khemudu.

Though the reason behind the act by the Maoists was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that they committed the offence over the suspicion of the three being police informers.

Police have recovered the body for post-mortem while the injured ones will be questioned regarding the incident.
