Marriage celebration turns sour: 3 killed, 12 injured as SUV ploughs into gathering in Berhampur
Berhampur: Tragedy struck a wedding event as a speeding SUV ploughed into the gathering killing three persons and injuring 12 others at Mandiapalli on the outskirts of Odisha’s Berhampur town.
The deceased were identified as Swapna Reddy (22), Sanju Reddy (23) and Bharti Reddy (12) of Lanjipalli area.

According to reports, the kin of the groom were waiting to welcome the bride’s side when the SUV rammed into the gathering.
While the three died on the spot, 12 others sustained critical injuries and were admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
Condition of two of them was stated to be critical.
The driver of the vehicle fled the spot after the mishap.
Police have started an investigation into the incident.
