Mask mandate, social distancing to come back in malls of Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the rise in Covid-19 positive cases in Bhubaneswar city in past few days, the city municipal corporation today issued a set of guidelines for shopping malls, shopping complexes and big commercial establishments.

While issuing the Covid SOP for the malls and business establishments, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated hand sanitizers and thermal screening must be kept mandatorily at the entry point.

The city municipal corporation also asked the malls and commercial establishments to ensure that customers and visitors including staff wear mask properly covering the face and nose.

At least six feet social distances must be maintained inside the premises of the commercial establishments.

If any flu like symptoms of staff, customers and visitors is detected, the malls, shopping complex and commercial establishment authorities must call 1929 immediately, the BMC statement added.

A total of 131 Covid positive cases were detected in the city in last 24 hours till 9 am on July 4, 2022.
